Cùng với đợt phát hành iOS 11 đêm qua, Procreate cũng ra phiên bản 4.0 với đợt nâng cấp được xem là "lớn nhất từ trước đến nay" rất nhiều đặc tính rất hấp dẫn.
Về phía bên ngoài thì thay đổi không nhiều, nhưng phần hệ thống gần như viết lại hoàn toàn. Bạn sẽ có một ứng dụng procreate có hiệu suất mạnh mẽ hơn, nét cọ mượt hơn và thêm khả năng hòa trộn.

- Sơn ướt: Kiểu hiệu ứng giống như hòa trộn sơn ướt trên toan, tạo chất liệu bề mặt đa dạng và nhanh chóng.
- Giao diện thư viện Brush mới dễ truy cập và dễ import hơn bằng cách kéo thả từ ứng dụng Files

- Giao diện màu sắc được làm lại: 4 chế độ màu sắc được sắp xếp vào các tab dễ dàng chuyển đổi qua lại giữa các hệ màu.
- Bổ sung Phổ màu rộng P3: Lưu ý P3 color mode không hỗ trợ iPad Pro thế hệ đầu tiên :(
DIGITAL
- Adjustments được thiết kế lại: đảm bảo khi điều chỉnh adjustments vẫn nhìn thấy kết quả trên canvas
Kéo thả trong iOS11: Trong chế độ đa nhiệm 2 màn hình của iOS 11, bạn có thể kéo thả text, hình ảnh, brush, tác phẩm.. từ ứng dụng này sang ứng dụng khác. Bạn cũng có thể chia sẻ tác phẩm qua email, cloud, facebook.. bằng động tác kéo thả nhanh chóng.
LAYER
- Layer Mask: Tính năng tuyệt vời này sẽ giúp bạn thay vì sử dụng eraser xóa thì giờ bạn có thể tạm thời che đi một cách linh hoạt, có thể bật tắt mask để kiểm tra kết quả một cách linh hoạt
